It's fascinated by the machinery that turns humiliation into weekly entertainment. Robert Pattinson plays Hansen, a television personality chasing a bigger stage and a place in broadcasting history. Yet there's something deeply uncomfortable about watching that ambition grow. The film understands that public outrage can become another product, packaged between advertisements and sold to viewers hungry for confrontation. And that's the ugly joke.
